President Signs Energy Bill With Biodiesel Tax Incentive Extension
The energy bill is signed. President Bush signed the long-awaited measure today at an energy laboratory in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Notable for U.S. farmers, is the energy bill’s renewable fuels standard, which sets a national minimum renewable fuel usage requirement of 4 billion gallons next year gradually increasing to 7.5 billion gallons in 2012.

Senate passes the Energy Bill, on to the President
Passed by the House on Thursday, HR 6 rolled through the Senate 74-26. The bill contains a number of renewable fuel provisions including a 7.5 billion gallon Renewable Fuels Standard.
